The first image is advertising ‘adore’ clothes. The model in the advert is looking innocent but flirty, she is wearing a frilly dress and is surrounded in rose petals this creates a romantic atmosphere.
Both of the models in the images are using indirect mode of address to get more of the public’s attention on their clothes.
The second image is advertising a Louis vuitton bag. The model is looking quite fierce and serious. She is very tanned and she’s showing a lot of skin.
The character of the model in the first image is quite innocent, sweet and flirty at the same time. She is modelling a light coloured dress to match her pale skin tone.
The character of the model in the second image is the complete opposite of the first image. She is modelling a bright yellow dress to match her tanned skin tone. The female in the image is a stereotype of what someone looks like when they spend time at the pool side.
In the first image the model is laying on the sofa; she is looking seductive and flirty, She has her hand lightly placed near her face.
In the second image t he model’s pose is fierce, she is drawing attention to her tanned body.
In the first advert the image is seen to be set in a room because the model is laying on a sofa, The sofa is covered in rose petals to make a pleasant and romantic type of scene. In the other advert the image is set at a poolside to create an exotic theme to match her bright yellow dress and her dark tan.
In the first image the lighting is bright to reflect the light colours on the model and the setting. In the second image the lighting is dimmed and the saturation is increased.
The target audience for the first advert are women who are into fashionable good quality clothing. For the second advert the target audience are for preferably rich women who don’t mind spending a lot of money on hand bags.
